Bratzillaz's at Toys R Us

I'm not a Bratz follower so I didn't know there was a new line coming out.  But ever since I bought that articulated one on clearance, I make it a point to glance over in their direction, just in case I see an articulated Black version.  Success!

I think this line is awesome!  Not $19.99 worth of awesome, but pretty darn close.  I'm hoping that Target and Walmart will get these so that the cost will drop.  If I did end up paying full price for one, it would be for Meygana.  She is just perfection.  I know these wont be to every one's taste, but the freaky deaky in me loves them.

  1. I like the articulation factor but not the dolls themselves. I can see myself rebodying some of my Bratz but I can wait for a sale :O)

    1. Dollz4Moi, I like the fact that they have real feet instead of pegs!

  2. Gasps! So tempted! They have real feet, you say? Barbie sized?

    1. Real feet, Verona! But Barbie feet are pretty small, so I'd say more like Monster or Stardoll feet. I haven't purchased one yet to make a for sure comparison though.

  3. Wow, Jade J'adore is awsome :) I want it ;)

    They has glass eyes?

    1. Hi there, Elianka. Yes, their eyes are glass inserts. You cant see it because of the lace, but the Jade doll's pupils are heart shaped instead of round.

  4. Maybe MGA Entertainment is listening to doll collectors with the articulation and no more pegs for feet. Loving the glass eyes on these dolls. Will probably pick up one to check it out.

    1. Frannie, let's hope so! They could start a whole new accessory line for shoes if they kept the regular feet.

  5. They look interesting, I wonder if/when they will make it to Australia. I notice they all seem to have tattoos though and I thought there was a bit of a fuss about Mattel's Tokidoki Barbie. I wonder what the response will be about these.

    1. Carrickters, Barbie is supposed to be this wholesome model and I guess that's why some fussy types were pretending to be all shocked by the Tokidoki. When Bratz first came out people were up in arms and saying that they looked like prostitutes. I wasn't even collecting dolls back then but I remember the fuss about the original Bratzs. I too will be interested if anyone makes a stink about these new versions. I think the tattoos are great myself.

  6. Hope MGA Entertainment is not setting themselves up for another Mattel lawsuit. "You made one like mine! You stole our concept [Monster High]!" yada, yada, yada.

    1. Nice to meet you DBG! The Bratzillaz are not monsters, they are all witches, but I'm sure Mattel wont care for that distinction when they send them a cease and desist. The Harry Potter people will probably yell at them too.

    1. Ada I hadn't heard of them before so I didn't have any preconceptions. I was just immediately attracted to them when I saw Sasha's eyes.

  9. I'm confused... do they actually have pets, or just pictures of pets??? XD

I like them! I wonder if any of my girls will fit into their clothes?

    1. LOL, Heather. Right now they just have pictures of pets because the "real" pets hadn't been released yet when I was at TRU. Pets are sold separatley from these current doll versions. You will have to make do with the picture for now, I guess.

I'm not sure on clothes comparisons yet.

  11. Hello from Spain: I agree with you that I like these new dolls have articulated body and no more pegs for feet.. Anyway, the Bratz dolls are not really like. Thank you for showing them. Keep in touch.

  12. Bratz competing with Monster High.

Must not be as freaky deaky as you, because while I love your photos, they are as close as I intend to get to the little monsters.

    1. Roville, I like a little competition if a new line is a result. Although I could have done without the La Dee Da line. Meh.

  14. Love the articulation but not the look of the dolls themselves :( looks like its a Monster High competition! Can you say lawsuits ? Lol
Your pics of them are cute as usual! Thanks for sharing:)

    1. Chynadoll, if I wasn't into ghoulies I don't think I would buy them just for their articulation even though I prefer their body type over that of the Monster High girls. These also look like they have a thinner neck knob so a Mattel head might not fit.

  15. So I'm going to make my way on over to TRU to see if I can get myself a Sashabella Paws. :)

  16. Applause, yay, Muff! Great catch. New series of Bratz that are articulated. With FEET, too. I laughed with delight to see them. Whhoo hooo, is Mattel going to have a fit. Witches, huh.

Course I will wait for a big sale and check them out for rebodying others.

Thanks for keeping us on our DAF toes, Muff!

    1. D7ana I have radar when it comes to articulation, lol. I'm always on the lookout for it! Finding out about the feet was a pleasant surprise.

  17. Wow! I am surprised to see these. They are very interesting. I'm not an MH collector, but there's something about these that I find interesting. I hope this doesn't start anymore craziness between MGM and Mattel.

    1. Vanessa, people who don't like Monster bodies might enjoy these fuller, more normal looking physiques. I don't think they can be rebodied with Mattel heads though.

      Delete
    2. Oh, I like the MH bodies. It's the heads I'm not thrilled about. Why can't they get a Mattel head? The other Bratz can.

      Delete
    3. Vanessa what kind of Bratz do you have? I tried to put Mattel heads on my articulated Bratz and they just flopped around like bobble heads. The Barbie neck hole is much wider than my Bratz neck column and knob. The witch version seem to have the same neck stem.

    4. Oh, I am using teenagers with smaller neck holes. Sorry. That's the only reason I needed articulated Bratz bodies.

  21. Muff, you know I haven't seen them here in Charlotte yet but I will keep checking. I went to Ross yesterday so tomorrow if I get a chance I check them out. When I went to Walmart last week didn't see anything new but a hat I need to go back and get. I would love to see there clothes, BFC Calista could use some more clothes.

  22. I just bought Meygana at Target for $25 (outrageous, I know but I had to have it.) She has straight hair in a ponytail, a different outfit on and different eye makeup. The accessories that come with the doll are stupid.

    1. Ingrid, I've seen the new Bratzillaz's fashions but not new doll releases. I'm probably not going to get any more but I do want to see what any newer versions look like, so thanks for the heads up!
